Verify a theological quotation before you trust an AI citation
A developer guide walks through treating LLM prose as unverified: resolve author/work/edition, compare exact wording to a versioned corpus release, read neighboring context, confirm tradition attribution, and keep mismatches for review. Pastor use: before a study handout or newsletter quotes the Fathers or a commentary via AI, run this checklist (or an immutable citation check) so a real-looking citation is not a misquote.
Our rule: AI helps with study, research and admin. The pastor still studies, verifies and writes the sermon.

Verify a bibliography and find papers that actually support a claim
Researchers use AccuraCite to cross-check citations against multiple academic databases, flag retractions, and — when finding sources — confirm a paper's abstract supports the claim, not just a matching title. Pastor use: check a study before it goes into a class handout, or find a real paper behind a statistic. The free plan includes 50 credits.

Google Research opened Deep Review publicly after conference pilots: an agentic verifier that segments a document, checks logical consistency and claim grounding, and synthesizes findings. Two free reviews per week (higher volume via Gemini API). Pastor use: stress-test a policy PDF or staff brief you already wrote — not to draft it.

Journalists and academics use Google Pinpoint to search, transcribe and organize thousands of PDFs, images and audio files; its Gemini features answer questions with evidence from your documents, compare files and build timelines. Pastor use: research a congregation's history from scanned minutes and letters, or search years of your own teaching transcripts. Keep confidential or personnel records out.

Analysts use ChatPDF to query long documents with page references. Pastor use: find what a long research report or a policy manual says on one question, then check the page.
